Q: How can I tell if an SEO company is scamming me?

A:  Find out about current SEO project.  Request samples of in-process work for other clients.  Be sure it is not work being conducted on their own sites.  Make sure they compete in high demand markets and industries.  Be sure and verify that they are doing their own work!

Q: Is web design and SEO design the same?

A: Absolutely not! This is a major SCAM performed on unsuspecting business owners that will bleed your capital and not produce the expected results.   Web designers and Optimization professionals are as different as night and day.  Web design is pleasing to the human eye but has no effect on how your site is scanned by Search Engine Crawlers thereby having little to no financial payback.  Optimizers do their work behind the scenes building links that will attract the Search Engine Crawlers and drive your site to the top of the search list.  This will increase your internet foot traffic and give you the opportunity to make more sales and realize a payback on your investment and then some! Web designers use applications to build websites.  Most have a GUI interface and use a point and click technology that the most inexperienced user can learn to use.  Optimization requires hand coding and only the most advanced technicians are skilled enough to successfully work in this area.
